SECOND SCREEN UX

Logitech produces a gaming keyboard with a small, embedded LCD screen. This feature is used by hard-core gamers as a secondary display for key game stats. Logitech asked us to reimagine this into a full-blown second-screen experience for phone or tablet.

 

Creating An Ecosystem

Our solution takes into account another key stakeholder: third-party game developers. Logitech’s partners can create content with the secondary screen in mind—information such as kill totals, level maps, inventories, co-op players, lists of objectives, etc. 

 

Video Demo

We came up with a product vision that allowed end users to control their keyboard and use their phone as a new gaming peripheral. Our solution balances the second screen experience with the primary focus—what’s on the main screen. 

We created a video demo (see below) as well as a working prototype so that Logitech could show the concept to potential partners at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC).
